This Privacy Policy (the Policy) describes how the W3League.net project (the website https://w3league.net, the Site, the Platform) processes personal data of users.
The Policy is prepared in accordance with:
- the Law of the Republic of Belarus of 7 May 2021 No. 99-Z “On Personal Data Protection”;
- the Law of the Republic of Belarus of 10 November 2008 No. 455-Z “On Information, Informatization and Information Protection”;
- other legislation of the Republic of Belarus.
By registering on the Site, submitting forms, connecting to the game server or continuing to use the Platform, you confirm that you have read the Policy and consent to the processing of personal data on the terms below, unless another legal basis applies.
Related rules of use are set out in the Terms of Use.
1. Data operator
The operator of personal data is the administration of the W3League.net internet project (the Operator).
Requests relating to personal data, including requests to exercise the rights of a data subject, must be sent through the form on the Support page. The Operator reviews such requests within the time limits set by the laws of the Republic of Belarus.
If the Operator obtains a registered legal entity or individual entrepreneur, this section will be updated with the full name, tax identification number and registered address.
2. What data we process
The Operator processes only the data needed to run the Platform. Depending on the features you use, this may include:
Account data
- username (nickname);
- email address;
- password (stored in a protected form, not in plain text);
- account identifier and role information.
Profile data you provide voluntarily
- display name, age, country;
- profile description;
- avatar (an uploaded image or a selected icon);
- Discord, VK, Instagram and Telegram profile links.
Gameplay and statistics
- match history, ranking, awards and other gameplay statistics;
- information about uploaded maps and related actions.
Support requests
- name, email address and message text submitted through the contact form.
Technical data
- IP address, date and time of access, browser and device information;
- security and availability logs to the extent needed to prevent abuse.
The Operator does not request passport details, identification numbers, payment credentials or other data that is not required for the current operation of the Platform. If paid services are introduced, the list of data and this Policy will be updated.
3. Purposes and legal bases
Personal data is processed in order to:
- register, identify and maintain your account;
- provide access to the game server, ladder, profile, maps, news and other Platform features;
- support fair play, security and stable operation of the service;
- handle support requests;
- comply with the laws of the Republic of Belarus;
- inform you about the Platform within the limits allowed by law and your settings;
- measure Site visits if you allow analytics cookies.
The legal bases for processing are:
- your consent (Article 5 of Law No. 99-Z), including upon registration and when you fill in optional profile fields;
- processing necessary to perform actions you requested and to perform the Terms of Use (Article 6 of Law No. 99-Z);
- other cases expressly provided for by legislative acts of the Republic of Belarus.
You may withhold optional profile information. If you do not provide the data required to create an account (nickname, email address, password), you will not be able to use the corresponding Platform features.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies. These are small pieces of data stored in your browser.
Necessary cookies keep you signed in, maintain the session and protect forms against request forgery. Without them, authentication and safe use of the Site are not possible.
Functional cookies remember the interface language and the selected theme.
Analytics cookies are set by visit-statistics counters. They show which pages are opened and how the Site is used: the page address, the approximate time of the visit, the browser and device type, and the referring source. This information is not required for sign-in, play, or the other Site features.
The counters run only after you choose “Allow analytics” in the cookie notice. “Necessary only” keeps the cookies the Site needs to work and does not start visit statistics. That choice is stored so the notice is not shown on every visit. To see the notice again and change your decision, delete the consent cookie in your browser: after a refusal, analytics cookies are deleted and the counter stops. Continued use of the Site does not by itself amount to this consent.
The Site does not use advertising cookies or ad pixels. If the counter provider processes data outside the Republic of Belarus, that transfer takes place only with consent to analytics.
Most browsers allow you to restrict or delete cookies. Disabling necessary cookies may cause some Site features to stop working.
5. How data is processed and who may receive it
The Operator carries out the actions needed for the purposes above: collection, organisation, storage, alteration, use, anonymisation, blocking and deletion.
Data is not sold and is not shared with third parties for their marketing. Disclosure is possible only:
- to technical contractors that provide hosting, email delivery, storage and infrastructure protection — to the extent needed to run the Platform and subject to confidentiality;
- to the provider of the visit counter — only after you consent to analytics, and only to the extent needed for visit statistics;
- to public authorities — in the cases and manner provided by the laws of the Republic of Belarus;
- to other persons — with your consent or where expressly allowed by legislative acts.
Your game nickname, public profile, match statistics and ranking are intended to be visible to other Platform users.
6. Cross-border transfer
To operate the Site, the game server, email notifications and hosting, data may be processed on servers outside the Republic of Belarus.
Such transfer is carried out in accordance with Articles 8 and 9 of Law No. 99-Z. Where the foreign state does not provide an adequate level of personal data protection, cross-border transfer takes place with your consent or on another basis provided by legislative acts of the Republic of Belarus. Registration and use of the Platform constitute consent to such transfer to the extent necessary to provide the service.
7. Retention periods
Data is stored no longer than required for the processing purposes, unless a longer period is set by law.
- account and profile data — for as long as the account exists and, after deletion, for the time needed to complete deletion, backups and legal duties;
- game logs and statistics — while they remain linked to an active account or while retention is needed for ranking, anti-cheat measures and dispute review;
- support requests — for the time needed to handle the request and a reasonable period thereafter to confirm that the request was made;
- technical logs — as a rule no longer than 12 months, unless a longer period is required to investigate a security incident;
- visit-counter data — for as long as the analytics consent remains in effect and for the period needed for visit statistics; if you refuse or withdraw consent, collection stops and analytics cookies are deleted.
After the retention period ends, data is deleted or anonymised.
8. Rights of the data subject
You have the rights provided by Law No. 99-Z, including the rights:
- to obtain information concerning the processing of your personal data;
- to obtain your personal data;
- to have incomplete, outdated or inaccurate personal data corrected;
- to obtain information about the provision of your personal data to third parties;
- to terminate processing, including by withdrawing consent, and to have data deleted — unless another legal basis for processing applies;
- to appeal against the Operator’s acts or omissions.
To exercise these rights, send a request through the Support page from the email address linked to your account, or by another means that allows the Operator to identify you. The Operator may ask for information needed to confirm your identity.
Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
If you believe your rights have been violated, you may also contact the National Centre for Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Belarus (https://cpd.by).
9. Security measures
The Operator takes legal, organisational and technical measures to protect personal data against unlawful or accidental access, destruction, alteration, blocking, copying and dissemination. These include protected data transmission, access control, protected password storage and limiting the circle of persons allowed to process data.
Absolute security of data transmission over the Internet cannot be guaranteed. We recommend using a unique password and not sharing it with others.
10. Data of minors
The Platform is not intended for persons under 16. Registration of persons aged 16 to 18 is allowed with the consent of their legal representatives, unless otherwise required by law.
If you become aware that personal data of a child under 16 is being processed without the required consent, please report it via Support. Such data will be deleted within a reasonable time unless the law requires otherwise.
11. Changes to the Policy
The Operator may update the Policy. A new version takes effect when it is published on this page, unless the version itself states otherwise. Continued use of the Platform after publication means you accept the updated Policy. Material changes that affect the scope of processing may also be shown to users when they sign in.
The effective date of the current version is shown at the top of this page.
